PEIMS Coordinator
The PEIMS Coordinator will organize and maintain student records and submit necessary reports to TEA and oversee campus staff to ensure policies are followed regarding TEA regulations regarding PEIMS reporting. The position will oversee diverse operational tasks encompassing HR e-forms, new employee onboarding, travel logistics, expense management, and compliance reporting. The role involves managing HR systems, coordinating travel authorizations, handling expense reports, and ensuring vehicle maintenance.
Essential Functions
- Oversees all PEIMS submissions to TEA for the University Academy.
- Monitors and maintains control of data for University Academy, providing support and training for the departments as needed.
- Develops PEIMS management information and control systems for the academy.
- Keeps detailed records for auditing purposes, completes other student data extracts for charter software and reporting requirements.
- Assists the central office administrator in report preparation and in responding to official inquiries.
- Manages HR e-forms and streamlines electronic documentation processes.
- Facilitates new employee onboarding through Skyward entry and documentation.
- Assists with administrative processing, including accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, contracts and employee travel.
- Assists with administrative processing to support employee payroll and leave.
- Maintains fleet records for vehicles.
- Monitors and processes required drill reports from campuses.
- Monitors ongoing professional development
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience working with public school offices.
- PEIMS experience. Experience using computer and office software packages, including office.
- May accept a combination of education and experience.

Classroom Teacher
The classroom teacher will provide instruction to students both face-to-face through project-based learning and online. The teacher will be supported by a Campus Director, University Academy Central Office Administrators, Ingenuity Center Professional Development Specialists, and university faculty. The classroom teacher will be expected to participate in daily teaming and project development with all teachers at the campus as well as teachers at other campuses using distance technologies. The classroom teacher will be responsible for curriculum development, lesson planning, communication and outreach, classroom management, integrating multiple technologies, collaborating with colleagues, and integrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines. Teachers will be expected to participate in graduate level work, and those teachers not currently holding master’s degree will be expected to be enrolled in a program as part of the compensation package. The position will be a 9 month university appointment, predicated on performance, enrollment, and continued successful operations of the charter school.

Other Information
This position is for 192 days which follow the University Academy District Calendar each school year (varies year-to-year, typically mid-August to early June). This position will have no vacation accrual since summers are off. This position will be paid on a 12-month distribution to have their pay/benefits through the summer. Dependent on start date, the monthly salary may be prorated according to the number of school days remaining (192-day calendar).

Major Responsibilities, Duties and Critical Tasks
- Plan and provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech and language goals contained in individual education plans (IEP).
- Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
- Conduct evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions to determine eligibility for services within the required timelines.
- Develop clinical management strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements by interpreting observations or data.
- Participate in the admission, review, and dismissal committee to assist in interpretation of evaluation data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with communication disorders or conditions according to district procedures.
- Lead admission, review, and dismissal (ARD) meetings for students with communication disorders or conditions according to district procedures.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents regarding the accomplishment of therapy goals and needs of the students.
- Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of speech-language pathology services and make changes based on the findings.
- Complies with policies established by federal and state law, state board of education rule, and the local board of trustees.
- Keeps informed about new state and federal guidelines and policies.
- Completes and submits requested reports, evaluation logs, surveys, etc. To the special education coordinator by the specified due date.
- Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.
- Improve leadership skills through self-initiated professional development activities.
- Perform duties in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner as defined in the tea code of ethics for educators.
- Maintains documentation of the time and effort spent towards supporting the program.
- Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and understand communication deficits in students.
- Document provision of services in district data management program.
- Performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as related to the position and as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- At least two years of experience in the speech pathology field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with charter school.
Required Certifications/Licenses
- Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).
- American speech-language-hearing association (ASHA) certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP).
